Description

Males & Females aged 18 – 60

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how a potential new drug for treating SCD symptoms affects the body and how the body processes it.

This trial will run at our Manchester EPU clinic and will last approximately 54 days in total with 9 outpatient visits and a single 2-night residential stay.

Reimbursement: Up to £2,800 plus travel expenses

Criteria

Key Inclusion Criteria:

Age of between 18 and 60 years old
Diagnosis of sickle cell disease
No SCD crises in past 30 days before administration of the study drug.
History of stroke
Weighing over 110kg or less than 50 kg
